Recipe: Argentinean empanadas
The Argentinian empanadas are a tipical food
of the country Argentina. They are delicious and easy to make.
Ingredients needed to
make Argentinian empanadas:
For the dough:
500 gr. Of flour.
60 gr. Of butter.
1 bud.
½ spoon of sugar.
1 soup spoon of oil.
125 ml. Of milk.
1 pinch of salt
The inside:
250 gr. Of meat.
1 big onion (has to be chopped).
2 boiled eggs (has to be chopped in 4 peices).
2 soup spoons of pitted olives.
½ spoon of cumin.
½ spoon of sugar.
30 gr. Of raisins.
1 pinch of salt.
1 pinch of pepper.
1 pinch of parsley (has to be chopped).
40 ml. Of oil.
1 beaten egg.
1 oil jet to fry.
How to
make the Argentinian empanadas:
First we will make the dough. In order to make
the dough take a bowl and put the flour.
In the middle put the butter, the egg yolk,
the oil and the salt.
Knead everything. Then extend the dough and
cut 10cm. Circles.
For the inside, cut the meat with a knife. Grab
a frying pan and put hot oil.
Fry the onion with the meat. And add the cumin
the salt, the peper, raisins, the parsley, and the sugar.
Once you make the inside put it in the center
of every circle of dough.
Then add to every empanada a quarter of a boiled
egg and 2 chopped olives.
Now fold the empanadas and close them with a
fork.
Paint them with a beaten egg. Put the empanadas
in a mold and take them to the oven.
Bake them for 20 minutes.
You can also make difirent insides like ham and cheese, onion and cheese, vegetables, chicken, tuna, tomatoe basil and cheese.
